Industry disrupter and dismantler, eSUB, is the only software company in Construction selected to the Red Herring North America 100

SAN DIEGO, CA, June 29, 2017: eSUB Construction Software (eSUB), the leading provider of mobile and cloud-based project management and document control solutions for subcontractors, today announced its selection to the 2017 Red Herring Top 100 list for the most innovative companies in North America.

“We are honored to be recognized for such a prestigious award and to join the ranks of the most disruptive companies across the globe,” said eSUB’s President and CEO, Wendy Rogers. eSUB is disrupting and dismantling the construction industry’s enormous subcontractor market that has yet to be adequately served by technology. Unlike general contractors, subcontractors perform 99 percent of the labor on large-scale construction projects and being able to track their labor in the field accurately can make or break their profits. “When changes occur in the field on construction projects, subcontractors often find themselves unable to accurately capture the work completed. They’re too busy doing the extra work to document it, but subcontractors don’t get paid for the work they do, they get paid for the work they document,” says Rogers.

eSUB Construction Software solves the costly disconnect between the Field and Office by implementing a cloud-based back-end solution that ties in with native applications and mobile devices in the field, giving personnel the ability to capture information onsite easily and share it in real-time with the back office for billing purposes and productivity tracking. “Using eSUB results in at least a 50 percent operational increase by replacing manual process with automated workflows and allows contractors to collect 100 percent on previous undocumented changes in the field,” says Rogers.

The Red Herring Award—established in 1996—highlights the best and the brightest of the tech industry. The organization prides itself on discovering and advocating for promising companies around the world, which is evident on their record of past winner selections—including Facebook, Google, Yahoo and thousands of others on the Nasdaq and other exchanges across the globe.

Each year, Red Herring’s editorial team analyzes hundreds of cutting-edge companies and technologies and selects those positioned to grow at an explosive rate. The Red Herring Top 100 evaluation criteria include growth rate, market maturity, and disruptiveness of the solution, revenue, and the company’s overall globalization.

“2017’s crop of Top 100 winners has been among our most intriguing yet,” said Alex Vieux, Chairman of Red Herring. “North America has led the way in tech for so many years, and to see such unique, pioneering entrepreneurs and companies here in California, which is in many ways the heartland of the industry, has been a thrilling experience.”

“What has excited me most is to see so many people forging niches in high-tech and cutting edge sectors,” added Vieux. “Some of the technical wizardry and first-rate business models showcased here at the conference have been fantastic to learn about. We believe eSUB embodies the drive, skill and passion on which tech thrives. eSUB should be proud of its achievement – the competition was incredibly strong.”

Following eSUB’s Top 100 win, [they] are invited to the next step, which is to present [themselves] at the Top 100 Global event in November that will encompass the best-in-show from the Top 100 Europe, North America, and Asia. Red Herring is dedicated to support eSUB’s continued path to success and innovation.

Changing the game on every project – A robust, easy-to-use mobile-first solution, eSUB automates project management tasks and creates a central cloud-based hub for real-time project information. Commercial Subcontractors are empowered with a solution to protect their profits and mitigate risks such as avoiding unnecessary claims.

eSUB Ranked as Contender in FrontRunners Quadrant Per Gartner-Owned Review Site

SAN DIEGO – March 31, 2017 | San Diego-based eSUB Construction Software (eSUB), the leading provider of mobile and cloud-based project management and document control solutions for subcontractors, today announced being named a “FrontRunner” in Software Advice’s Construction Project Management analysis report.

The FrontRunners quadrant is powered by Gartner methodology and based primarily on user reviews across Gartner Digital Markets. As a Gartner Company, the Software Advice FrontRunners analysis is a data-driven assessment identifying products in the Construction Project Management Software market that offer the best capability and value for construction businesses across all segments. For a given market, products are evaluated and given a score for the capability (x-axis) and value (y-axis) they bring to users.

To date, eSUB has received many product reviews and averaged a 4.5 out of 5-star rating on Software Advice. Reviewers assess construction software based on ease of use, functionality, product quality, customer support and value for money. Of the construction project management vendors listed in the Gartner-powered study, eSUB is the only mobile and cloud-based solution exclusively designed for commercial Construction Subcontractors. Other vendors included in the analysis serve multiple niches within the construction market, such as Residential Construction, General Contractors, and Owners, to name a few.

“Being recognized as one of the foremost construction project management solutions in our industry is extraordinary confirmation that we are delivering on our promise to commercial subcontractors,” said Wendy Rogers, founder & CEO of eSUB Construction Software. “We are honored that reviewers highlight eSUB as a very user-friendly solution geared to subcontractors, and loaded with modular features to enable them to document work in the field and get paid.  We greatly appreciate the participants who continually help drive us to improve and innovate.”

Unlike general contractors, subcontractors perform ninety-nine percent of the labor on large-scale construction projects and being able to track their work in the field accurately can make or break their profits. “eSUB is designed for the hundreds of thousands of subcontractors trapped with legacy solutions and inconsistent manual workflows, to make real business progress. eSUB is changing this reality for firms worldwide,” says Benny Baltrotsky, Chief Strategy Officer, eSUB Construction Software.

    Conclusion

FrontRunners scores and graphics are derived from individual end-user reviews based on their experiences, vendor-supplied information and publicly available product information; they do not represent the views of Gartner or its affiliates.

BEST IN CLASS MOBILE & CLOUD CONSTRUCTION APPLICATIONS

SAN DIEGO, CA., (October 27, 2016) — eSUB Construction Software is pleased to announce a brand new product integration, bringing together PlanGrid’s user-friendly field productivity application for construction professionals with eSUB’s project management and document control platform for unmatched collaboration and productivity in the field.

By integrating these two leading, best of breed solutions in field data collection, eSUB and PlanGrid will deliver a complete mobile solution for construction subcontractors, specializing in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, framing, concrete, drywall, masonry, steel erection, and many other types of construction work. The integration will help place up-to-date information at the fingertips of users no matter where they are.

“Our goal is to provide subcontractors with improved access to real-time information and superior data collection tools in the field via mobile and cloud-based technology,” said Wendy Rogers, CEO of eSUB Construction Software. “The integration of eSUB and PlanGrid’s applications will be instrumental in helping businesses make better decisions, attain greater efficiency both in the office and on the job site, and achieve higher profits,” she said.

“Many leading construction subcontractors choose eSUB because it was designed specifically with them in mind,” says Tracy Young, CEO of PlanGrid. “We’re excited that customers will use eSUB and PlanGrid to bridge collaboration between the field and the office, both within their own firms and with their general contractors.

Partnership Remedies Many Significant Issues Subcontractors Face

By working together, eSUB and PlanGrid offer a secure, scalable solution that users will quickly adopt across their construction companies. Enabling the field and office staff with these cutting edge technologies will help construction subcontractors:

—Get paid for all the work they perform by allowing the office and field teams to stay connected to the latest files and quickly document work in the field.

—Mitigate litigation risks by hosting and preserving all project data in the cloud, even after the project is completed.

—Managing multiple jobs with instant access to information relevant to their work.

—Solve problems caused by unexpected conditions, such as weather.

—Remove obstacles to beat production rates.

—Collaborate closely and in real-time with general contractors.

“eSUB is very excited about the opportunity to extend the power of our platform via this partnership,” said Don Araldi, Vice President, Sales of eSUB. “Many of our customers highly regard PlanGrid, and we see this as a very strategic relationship, with unique benefits for the field, which should provide customers with significant competitive advantages.”

“Together, PlanGrid and eSUB help address the specific needs of subcontractors,” said James Cook, Head of Strategic Alliances & Partnerships at PlanGrid. “This partnership will enable both field and office workers to share the accurate data they need to keep projects running on time and within budget.”

    Conclusion

The eSUB-PlanGrid partnership announcement marks the first phase of feature development where users can save PlanGrid snapshots to eSUB and attach drawings and annotations to any eSUB document (Submittals, Daily Reports, Change Orders, PO’s, etc.), to create a complete record of what happens on the job site. Users in the field have actionable project information right on their mobile device and no longer will need to haul pounds of excessive paper around the job site, nor potentially miss opportunities to get paid.

eSUB Field Works mobile app keeps getting better

Since NECA 2016, the eSUB Field Works mobile app received several enhancements. Many times Field Notes require more than one image to accurately document an issue. Field Works now allows the user to add up to six images to a Field Note. The system dates and time stamps all the images to improve project documentation and mitigate risk for subcontractors.

Additionally, there have been several updates to display of labor hours within Daily Reports. Crew total hours and total hours by employees are now visible in Daily Reports. This new feature reduces the errors in payroll to pay your workers quickly.

Preview of eSUB Time – NEW employee time tracking mobile app

We know that labor is the biggest cost to subcontractors. So, it was important for us at eSUB to develop our own solution for our customers to more accurately their track labor costs. But many subcontractors waste hours tracking down paper timesheets or use multiple apps.

eSUB Time empowers field workers to enter their time (via punch in / out or manual entry) directly from their smartphone to make time tracking easy and with fewer errors. When laborers log their time with eSUB Time, the time transfers to important project documentation and reports. Consequently, employee time keeping and project management come together in eSUB for time savings, labor productivity improvements, and project team collaboration.

eSUB Time is still in development and scheduled for release at the end of the year. We will be providing demonstrations of eSUB Time during NECA. We invite all attendees to stop by and receive a demonstration of the new construction time tracking app. Try it out for yourself and tell our team how we can enhance eSUB Time to be a 2018 NECA ShowStopper.

Looking forward to seeing you in Seattle. If you will not be able to attend NECA, feel free to contact us at 800-493-3782 or click here to schedule a demo.
